Grace Talson has spent this lifetime on the move. She started out her career as a so-called “stay-at-home-mom,” though she was, in truth, not staying at home much. Instead she was deeply involved in the lives of her children and in supporting and improving the community in which they were coming of age. She volunteered a great deal at her children’s schools and provided secretarial and graphic arts support wherever it was needed.
Once her children were grown, Grace enrolled at Douglas College Directions to begin the next phase of her life. There she encountered the concepts of Neuro-Linguistic Programming. She found that these concepts, as presented by Richard Bandler, Virginia Satir and Milton Erickson, laid out an interesting path toward clearing away useless and even harmful thinking and programming, and making room for new attitudes and actions. But NLP was just the beginning of this new journey.
Soon she was initiated into Reiki, and then she was certified in Timeline Therapy and Hypnotherapy (both of which address and release trauma) and, most recently, Theta Healing. All of these modalities, she feels, have their strengths and appropriate applications – and she is glad to be learning more about how to combine and integrate them every day and in practically every client interaction or training seminar she delivers.
In addition to her healing practice, Grace has been a presence working at Reflections Books in Coquitlam since 2001. There she helps customers to find just what they may be needing – from AA to Astrology, Crystals, Tarot, Numerology, Singing Bowls, and on and on.
